Mob Rules - New Album In November

The Northern German Melodic Metal force Mob Rules signed a contract with AFM in late July. The new, sixth album "Radical Peace" will be released in November, prior to this the single "Astral Hand" will be unleashed in October.

"We are happy that we signed with the label of our first choice", states the band. "The well-known professional work of the company and their high-class artist-roster go well with us and our musical direction."

AFM are happy with the signing, too: "With Mob Rules we welcome one of the best and most consistent German Melodic/Power Metal bands. We are convinced that we can support the band on their further way up. Furthermore we can announce one of the Metal highlight of 2009 in "Radical Peace", the band´s heaviest and most diverse album so far. Expect some spectacular surprises!"

Noteworthy for this appraisal is the twenty-minute epic "The Oswald File", which deals with the assassination of John F. Kennedy and brings up the question whether the suspected (and later killed) Harvey Lee Oswald really was the one who shot Kennedy. With this song Mob Rules continue the concept of important political events in world's history that they started on the previous album "Ethnolution A.D.".

This autumn Mob Rules will be present on stage some more times, amongst others at the Wacken Rocks Seaside in Aurich, Germany (August 28th), as headliner of the "Börsencrash Festival" in Wuppertal, Germany (October 16th) and at the big album release concert in the band´s hometown Wilhelmshaven on November 27th, 2009.

Mob Rules - Still Working On New Album

Just like last year, Mob Rules are wishing their fans a Happy New Year with promises for a new album. The band revealed the following:

"Meanwhile the band continues to work on the new (already 6th) album. No album title is confirmed yet, but a "hint" to the previous album "Ethnolution A.D." is likely. The main part of songs is already composed, also the band has started to record the first songs in the studio. This time Mob Rules' members work in legs to secure the best result possible. Beside the known Mob Rules qualities the new album will hold some surprises and unexpected things in store. One secret can be revealed here now: the six Northern Germans have written the longest song of their career so far and will amaze you with a real Melodic Metal pamphlet that lyrically deals with a very exciting up-to-date subject.

For 2009 we have the first shows confirmed now, also we are working to realise some very interesting tour constellations. Details to follow soon.

If you have a few minutes, check out the new Mob Rules Youtube channel. We have uploaded some unreleased video material and very soon you'll find all our official clips there."

Mob Rules, new album

Four regular albums in five years, tours with Savatage, Helloween, Rage, Company of Snakes, Ivory Tower, the Wacken Road Show 2003 plus countless gigs with Rhapsody, Doro, Scorpions, Symphony X and Silent Force in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Austria and Switzerland: Mob Rules are currently one of Europe's most industrious metal acts.

Their current release, Among The Gods, proves once more that their greatest strengths lie in their constancy and determination - after all the band still operate in their original line-up. A rare exception, not only in our fast-moving times in general, but particularly in the metal genre, which has frequently been referred to as a "travelling circus with an ever-changing line-up".

Vocalist Klaus Dirks hits the nail on the head when he says: "Others only preach the fairytale of loyalty and honesty, we actually live this philosophy."

Among The Gods was released on May, 17th 2004.
